Earlier, we posted a story about the first person on Twitter to use the word “hoax” in association with the Jussie Smollett story.
MORE importantly, who were the first journalist to boldly put their reputations on the line to use the word “hoax” to describe Jussie’s story? That honor goes to The Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila.
The Gateway Pundit confirmed to Bright Start News that Cristina’s post went up at 1:21 pm on January 29th.
I asked Cristina how she knew this was a hoax so quickly after initial reports of the “attack” surfaced.
I knew it was a hoax right away because it was hard for me to believe white Trump supporters would be waiting in an ally in subfreezing temps in Chicago in the middle of the night with a rope and bleach and just happen to recognize Jussie Smollett as the actor from Empire.
The claim these attackers screamed “this is MAGA country” was even more ridiculous.
I also asked Cristina how it feels to have been so right, and if she was ever worried that she was incorrect about her assessment of Jussie’s claims.
I love being right. I’m a woman 😂 and I was never worried I was wrong. I didn’t even have a moment where I thought I was wrong. I was sure it was a hoax and the evidence that continued to trickle out only confirmed my hunch it was hoax from the beginning.
