What is FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt)?

The short answer

Negative information — sometimes true, sometimes exaggerated or false — spread to drive a price down.

Worth evaluating on its own merits rather than dismissing everything negative as “FUD” or believing everything alarming without checking the source.
