Tools

Five free beginner tools — profit and DCA calculators, a converter, a gas estimator and a readiness checklist. No account, no wallet connection, nothing stored.

Five small, free tools for people who are new to crypto. None of them need an account, none of them connect to a wallet, and none of them ask for anything beyond the numbers you type in. They run in your browser and we do not store what you enter.

They are deliberately simple. Each one answers a single question that beginners actually ask, and each one explains what the answer does and does not mean. None of them tell you what to buy — that is not what this site is for.

Work out money

Profit calculator

Enter what you paid, what it is worth now, and how much you hold. It tells you your gain or loss in both cash and percentage terms. Useful for checking whether a position has actually done what you think it has — percentages and round numbers are easy to misremember in your own favour. It deliberately does not model tax, because the rules differ in every country and a wrong number would be worse than no number.

DCA calculator

Dollar-cost averaging means buying a fixed amount on a fixed schedule instead of trying to time the market. This models what that would have looked like: how much you would have put in, what you would hold, and what the average price you paid works out to. It is a way of seeing the mechanics of a strategy, not a prediction that it will work.

Converter

Convert between cryptocurrencies and traditional currencies at the current rate. Handy when a price is quoted in a currency you do not think in, or when you want to know what a fraction of a coin is actually worth in money.

Understand costs and readiness

Gas estimator

“Gas” is the fee you pay to make a transaction on Ethereum. It moves constantly depending on how busy the network is, and it is the single most common unpleasant surprise for a first-time user. This shows the current estimate so you can see what a transaction would cost right now, and whether it is worth waiting.

Readiness checklist

A short set of honest questions to work through before you buy anything at all — about the money you would be using, where it would be stored, and whether you have understood the parts that go wrong. It is the only tool here that might tell you the answer is “not yet”, which is a perfectly good outcome.

Before you use any of them

These tools do arithmetic on numbers you supply. They cannot tell you whether something is a good idea, and a calculator showing a large number is not a forecast. Crypto prices move sharply in both directions, and the figures you see here are a snapshot of right now, not a trend.

If you are at the very start, the Bright Start Path is a better first stop than any calculator — it covers what crypto is, how to set up a wallet safely, and how to spot the scams that target new buyers. If a term here is unfamiliar, the glossary defines everything in plain English.
